xFusion Part Number Lookup | Check Compatible Servers

xFusion Part Number Lookup | Check Compatible Servers

The xFusion Part-Number Lookup maps individual component codes to the server models they are validated for. Enter a single FusionServer part number to identify it, or paste an entire bill of materials — the tool splits the codes automatically and shows each match with its model, component category and lifecycle status.

The underlying index covers roughly 4,000 unique part numbers drawn from xFusion’s official compatibility data across more than 100 models. It is especially useful when you have a list of codes from a quotation, an asset record or a tender document and need to know what each one is and which servers it belongs to.

Paste one part number or a whole BOM (one P/N per line) to see compatible servers and request a quote.

How the lookup works

  • Single part number: type or paste one code, for example 4102Y199 or 0231Y019, to see the matching model and component.
  • Whole BOM: paste several codes separated by spaces, commas or new lines. The tool de-duplicates them and looks up each code independently — useful for checking a supplier’s quotation against validated parts.
  • Multiple models: a shared or generic part may return several models and categories. Every match is listed separately.
  • Unknown codes: if a code is not in the index, the result says so rather than guessing; send it to us and we will identify it manually.

Reading xFusion part numbers

xFusion codes are not random — the prefix often indicates the component family:

  • 4102… processors/CPUs (the 4102 prefix covers the Xeon server CPU range).
  • 0251… memory modules.
  • 0254… hard drives (SAS/SATA).
  • 0255… SSDs, including NVMe and M.2.
  • 0256… / 0231… RAID controllers, function modules and power supplies.
  • 0257… / 0302… network adapters and OCP cards.

Some codes carry an extra suffix (for example -006 on an SSD SKU) to distinguish bracket or tray variants. The part description shows the difference; two codes with the same base and different suffixes are not interchangeable.

Part-number lookup — FAQ

How many part numbers can I check at once?

You can paste a full BOM; the tool splits on spaces, commas, tabs and line breaks and de-duplicates the list. Very long lists are handled in order — just paste the complete column of codes from your spreadsheet.

Why does one part number show multiple models?

Generic or shared components — memory, drives and common adapters — are validated across several servers. A single code therefore legitimately appears under more than one model; all matches are returned.

A code in my list is not found. What now?

The index covers the compatibility database, not every internal or regional SKU, so a code may be a factory sub-code, a third-party OEM code or simply newer than the data. Send the code to us and we will identify it against current xFusion records.

Can I use this to verify a quotation?

Yes — it is built for exactly that. Paste the quoted codes and check each one’s model, category and status. Codes that do not match the target model or are EOM deserve a closer look before you buy.

What does the lifecycle status in a result mean?

Current/GA parts are in production; DEVELOP and PILOT parts are under qualification or limited rollout; EOM parts are out of marketing but supported as spares. Prefer Current parts for new builds.

Can I get prices for the codes I look up?

We quote on request rather than publishing prices. Once your codes are identified, send us the list and we will return pricing and availability, and can confirm warranty for each part.

Is the lookup case-sensitive?

No. Codes are normalised to upper case automatically, so 0231y019 and 0231Y019 return the same result. Spaces, commas, semicolons and line breaks all work as separators.

Can I search by keyword or description instead of a code?

The lookup matches exact part numbers only — it does not search on words such as "64GB" or a processor name. If you do not have the codes, start from the model compatibility pages, where parts are grouped and searchable by category.

Is there a limit on the size of BOM?

The input splits and de-duplicates the list and renders up to 200 codes per run. For a longer spreadsheet, paste it in batches of 200 or send us the file and we will check the complete list for you.

Does a match mean the part is currently in stock?

No. The result tells you that a code is a genuine, xFusion-validated part and shows its model, category and lifecycle status — it is not a live stock level. Ask us for current availability and lead time on the specific codes.

How up to date is the index?

It is built from a snapshot of xFusion’s official compatibility data. xFusion adds SKUs and changes lifecycle statuses over time, so for a binding decision we will confirm the exact part and status against current records when you request a quote.

Will it recognise third-party or OEM-branded codes?

The index contains xFusion FusionServer codes. A part may physically carry the underlying chip or disk manufacturer’s number (for example a memory or SSD OEM code), which will not necessarily appear here. Send such codes to us and we will map them to the xFusion equivalent manually.
