Can you supply NVIDIA H100 or L40S GPUs for PowerEdge?

Yes. We supply genuine Dell order-code accelerators including the H100 NVL, L40S, L40 and L4, matched to the supported chassis, GPU riser configuration and cooling kit rather than as bare cards.

Do I need a special riser or kit to install a GPU?

Usually yes. Double-width and full-length GPUs require a specific riser configuration, GPU shroud, high-performance fans and auxiliary power cables. We include the correct GPU kit so the card fits and is supported.

What is the difference between L40S, L40 and L4?

L40S and L40 are 48GB double-width cards for AI inference and professional graphics; L4 is a 24GB lower-power single-slot card built for dense scale-out inference in 1U/2U and edge servers. We match them to the workload and chassis.

Which GPUs work for VDI and virtual GPU?

The NVIDIA A16, A10, L40S/L4 and A-series are commonly licensed for vGPU and cloud-desktop workloads. Tell us the user count and profile and we size the right card, vGPU license and server.

Are these PCIe or OAM/SXM modules?

Most cards we list are PCIe and fit supported rack servers (H100 NVL, L40S, L4, A-series, MI210). The MI300X and Hopper OAM/SXM modules are for dedicated XE9680-class systems; we label the form factor clearly.

Will my existing power supplies support the GPUs?

Not always. Multiple double-width GPUs sharply increase the power budget and may require higher-wattage PSUs and stronger fans. We check the full CPU-plus-GPU power draw and specify the correct PSUs.

Can you install and test GPUs before shipping?

Yes. With a complete server order we fit the risers, shroud and power cables, install the GPUs, update firmware, configure vGPU if needed and run a burn-in, then verify the system before shipment.

Do you supply AMD Instinct or Intel GPUs too?

Yes. Beyond NVIDIA we can supply AMD Instinct MI300X (OAM) and MI210 (PCIe) and Intel Flex 140 accelerators, subject to chassis support and availability.

What warranty applies to a new GPU?

New genuine accelerators carry the manufacturer hardware warranty under Dell’s supported configuration. We confirm the term and coordinate replacement if a confirmed defect occurs.

Can older 14G/15G servers take these cards?

Some A-series and T4 cards are validated on 14G/15G systems, while H100-class parts target newer platforms. Send your service tag and we confirm whether the GPU, riser and BIOS are supported rather than guessing.

Do the GPUs need special cooling?

Yes. High-power double-width cards require high-performance fans and the GPU shroud, and some platforms offer direct liquid cooling. We match the thermal kit to the card and ambient environment to prevent throttling.

How many GPUs fit in one server?

It depends on the chassis and slot width — for example an R760xa can take up to four double-width or more single-wide cards. We confirm the exact maximum, riser layout and NVLink/bridging for your model.

How quickly can a GPU server be supplied?

Lead time varies by model and whether cards are in stock or factory ordered. We confirm availability and an exact lead time with the quote and can consolidate the GPUs, server and kit in one shipment.

Do you help with the NVIDIA software and drivers?

We provide the supported driver, firmware and vGPU licensing guidance and can pre-install them; for the full NVIDIA AI Enterprise stack we advise on the appropriate subscription alongside the hardware.
