xFusion FusionServer G6550 V8 — 6U Modular AI Server, Dual EPYC Turin, 10 GPUs
A modular 6U chassis combining a computing module, a switch module and dual power-supply modules around two AMD EPYC 9005 (Turin) processors, 24 DDR5 DIMMs at up to 6400 MT/s and ten double-width data-center GPUs on a PCIe 5.0 switching fabric, fed by up to eight 3200 W Platinum/Titanium CRPS units. Built for AI training and inference, deep learning and scientific computing.
Why the G6550 V8
A modular, air-cooled 6U AI platform scaling to ten high-TDP accelerators with no liquid cooling.
Dual EPYC Turin
Two AMD EPYC 9005 Series (Turin) processors, each up to 500 W TDP, feed the accelerator wall.
Up to 10 GPUs
Ten double-width accelerators (or twenty single-width cards), multiple form factors, up to 600 W TDP per card.
Modular architecture
Reconfigurable, independently upgradable modules with blind-mate I/O cabling for clean service.
PCIe 5.0 fabric
Pass-through or switch topology with up to 11 or 15 PCIe 5.0 slots, plus one OCP 3.0 network card.
One 6U chassis, reconfigurable modules
xFusion builds the G6550 V8 around seven module types, reconfigurable and independently upgradable, with blind-mate I/O cabling for service without chassis opening. Front- or rear-maintenance variants suit different data centers.

The computing module carries the dual EPYC Turin processors, 24 DDR5 DIMMs and local storage; the switch module provides the PCIe 5.0 host-to-accelerator fabric; the two power-supply modules host up to eight 3200 W CRPS units in N+N/N+M redundancy. Loose coupling lets storage, networking or power evolve independently after deployment.
Simplified O&M: blind-mate cabling allows maintenance without rack ejection or chassis opening, in front- or rear-maintenance models.

Ten accelerators on a PCIe 5.0 switching fabric
Two Turin processors and twenty-four DDR5 DIMMs keep a full wall of double-width GPUs fed, while pass-through and switch topologies let the node match the workload.

Each Turin processor is supported at up to 500 W TDP. xFusion lists 24 DDR5 DIMMs at up to 6400 MT/s without publishing a maximum capacity, so we size memory from the validated DIMM list per project rather than quoting an unverified terabyte figure.

The platform accepts multiple GPU form factors with up to 600 W TDP per card and supports both professional and consumer-grade PCIe GPUs; ten double-width slots (or twenty single-width) are exposed through pass-through or switch topology. Accelerator models, memory and combinations are configured per project — we verify card, riser, fabric and PSU compatibility against xFusion lists before quoting.
Eight 3200 W PSUs and zoned airflow for sustained GPU load
Dense 600 W-class accelerators need matching power and thermal design; the G6550 V8 uses a modular power shelf and separate GPU/CPU fan zones.

The power shelf holds eight 3200 W single-input or dual-input CRPS units in N+N redundancy (up to eight PSUs in N+N/N+M). xFusion’s white paper specifies 80 PLUS Platinum/Titanium supplies, reaching 96% efficiency at 50% load, plus active/standby and HVDC options.

GPU: 12 or 18 × 6056++ fans; CPU: 6 × 6056++ fans, all N+1. Optimized front-to-back airflow supports stable operation at ambient up to 35°C (95°F), ASHRAE A1/A2.

xFusion FusionServer G6550 V8 questions
What is the FusionServer G6550 V8?
It is xFusion’s next-generation air-cooled 6U modular AI server, with two 5th-Generation AMD EPYC 9005 Series (Turin) processors, 24 DDR5 DIMMs at up to 6400 MT/s, a PCIe 5.0 switching fabric and up to ten double-width GPU accelerators. xFusion designs it for AI large-model training and inference, intelligent computing, deep learning and scientific computing.
Which GPUs does the G6550 V8 support?
The chassis holds ten double-width OAM/SXM-class data-center GPUs (or twenty single-width cards), supports multiple GPU form factors with up to 600 W TDP per card, and works with both professional and consumer-grade PCIe GPUs per xFusion’s white paper. We do not pin a card model: accelerators are configured per project, with card, riser, topology and 3200 W PSU compatibility validated before quoting.
What is the difference between the G6550 V8 and the G8550 V8?
Both are dual EPYC 9005 (Turin) V8 platforms. The G6550 V8 is the 6U modular node with ten double-width GPUs; the G8550 V8 is the larger 10U flagship scaling to sixteen double-width GPUs. Choose G6550 V8 for standard 8–10-GPU racks and G8550 V8 for maximum accelerator density.
Pass-through or switch topology — how do I choose?
Pass-through exposes up to eleven PCIe 5.0 slots with direct host paths suited to inference; the switch model exposes up to fifteen slots through the PCIe 5.0 fabric for more devices and flexible GPU grouping. We recommend the topology after reviewing your model and cluster plan.
What is the lead time and how is the server configured?
Every build is CTO — GPU models, EPYC SKUs, memory, storage, OCP networking and topology — so lead time depends on the selected accelerators and quantity. Send the workload and target BOM and we confirm build, lead time and price.
What warranty and condition apply, and do you ship worldwide?
We supply the G6550 V8 only as a brand-new genuine xFusion server with a 3-year Beijing Xinchuan warranty. Each order is burn-in tested and ships worldwide with export documentation. See our warranty page.
